Hola Family and Friends,
Sorry for the lack of updates since starting the work. I just finished the Online MTC and it was a wonderful experience. My teachers, Hermano Peery and Hermana Smith were amazing. Their knowledge of this Gospel and love for it has inspired me greatly. I also had a wonderful MTC district. They were all so spiritual, uplifting and kind. It feels like I've known some of them all my life. Shoutout to Elder Short for being the most amazing MTC companion. His motivation and strong testimony made MTC lessons more enjoyable and companionship studies more spiritually uplifting. When it comes to Spanish... hahah I can definitely use some work. I really do love the language and look forward to hearing/speaking it every day for the next 22 months. If there's anything big that I can take out of my MTC experience is " to teach the person, not the lesson." Hermana Smith emphasized this a lot during instruction, and boy-oh-boy was she right. The spirit you feel and the power that comes with it is much greater when you center your focus on the needs of the individual.
Now I leave for Santiago, Chile next Thursday (March 4th.) My flight schedule is Pasco-MInneapolas-Atlanta-Sanitago. I'm both super excited and nervous. I know that this next life adventure will have a great impact on both my personal and spiritual growth. I have a testimony of this gospel. I know that this is Christ's work. I know that with the Atonement of our Lord and Savior, we can change and be instruments in the Lord's hands. I love you all so very much and am thankful for the massive impact each of you have had on my life. I will do my best to give weekly updates.
